Jophen Stein bio:
After an explosion killed everyone that Jophen Stein ever knew, he turned his
attention to art as a therapeutic measure to this unfortunate plight. In the
years following he attended the Shaolin School of Fine Art where he graduated
with distinction in 2003. He had lived a life of solitude until one day a baby
of Ecuadorean decent was left on the doorstep of his Pomona studio. He appropriately
named him Little Tiny and has dedicated his life to the upbringing and teaching
of the now child prodigy.
With "Steiny Uno: Aviaries & Sanctuaries", Mr. Stein
showcases his unique vision via his first proper gallery installation, one
that’s sure to turn heads and have those in the know talking for some
time to come.
For our back gallery Sour Harvest and Cannibal Flower have brought together
an eclectic array of artists from across the United States, the highlight of
which will be a mini-installation from Mear One featuring the first in a new
series of ‘mini’ oil paintings. Also on display as part of “Picks
Of The Harvest: Batch Three” will be new works from Yoskay Yomamoto,
J. Shea, Tanner Goldbeck, Audrey Kawasaki, Ryan Bubnis, Sean Christopher, Luke
Chueh, Kim Maria, Craig LaRotonda, Julie West, Emily Flake, Sam Wellington,
Erick Rodriguez, Nathan Cartwright, Travis Morley, Brooke Reidt, 2H, Grant
Roman, Joshua Petker, Blinky, Kevin Peterson, Brandi Milne, Daniel Fleres,
Preston Thomas, Cameron Tiede, Ronald Kurniawan, John Michael Gill, James Naccarato,
Robert Bisi, L. Croskey, Ekundayo, Nathan Spoor, Lola, Joshua Clay, Michele
Waterman, Anthony Clarkson, Marco Zamora, Shervin Iranshahr, Megan Elizabeth
Ford and Sophia Pottish.
